MCDOA members at Holyrood House

4 Jul 2023 - I am grateful to MCDOA member Bob Hawkins MBE for these photos taken at a royal garden party today in the presence of HM the King at the Palace of Holyrood House, the King’s official residence in Edinburgh. The King is in Edinburgh to be presented with the Honours of Scotland including the crown, the sceptre, and a new sword named after the late Queen, in the presence of the Stone of Destiny. The ceremony will be held tomorrow in St Giles Cathedral.

Bob’s fellow MCDOA member Peter Davis was at the garden party too. Peter is a much valued former Treasurer of the MCDOA and he is currently the CO of Charlie Squadron of DTXG (Diving & Threat Exploitation Group).

Also at the garden party were CPO(MW) Andy Dawkins, PO(MW) Mark ‘Titty’ Titman and PO(MW) Graeme ‘Blood‘ Reid.
