MWA Southern Area Dit Session

31 Jul 2026 - MCDOA/MWA members David Sandiford, Martyn Holloway, Bill Kerr and Yours Truly (Rob Hoole) joined fellow regulars Paul ‘Taff’ Reader, Jim Hawkins, Pete Whitehead and Dave Smith at the Golden Lion in Fareham last night for this month’s Mine Warfare Association’s Southern Area monthly ‘Dit Session’. We were blessed with the addition of Paul Campbell and Max Coffey who had travelled some distance but not as far as ex-RAN/RN MCD Paul Davey and his son Eddie who had arrived from Brisbane, Australia with their family only that morning.

Don’r worry if you weren’t there. We probably talked about you anyway. 😊

Like his father (Aug 2022), mother (Apr 2024) and Yours Truly (Aug 2016) before him, Eddie is due to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower in Gunwharf Quays (formerly HMS VERNON) on Saturday.
