MCDOA members link up

20 Feb 2024 - I am grateful to MCDOA Chair Martin Mackey for sending me this photo of himself with fellow MCDOA members Don Crosbie and Chris O’Flaherty in HMS NELSON’s wardroom bar last night.

Martin, of course, has been the Superintendent of Defence Diving (SODD) since May 2022 having previously been SO1 Training and Maritime for the Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search Branch at DEMS (Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Munitions and Search), Bicester.

Don has been Commodore Naval Programmes for MODSAP (Ministry of Defence Saudi Armed Forces Projects) since January 2023 having previously been Deputy Commander Task Force 52 in Bahrain.

Captain Chris has been a Consultant at the Royal Navy Operational Advantage Centre since November 2023 having previously been our Defence Attaché in Libya.
