Latest LS & GC Awards

1 Dec 2023 - Poignantly, the late Cdr Bob Hawkins MBE RN was recently gazetted for the award of the third clasp to his Naval Long Service & Good Conduct medal, signifying 45 years of unblemished service in uniform. Members of his staff were able to embellish his medal with all three clasps in time for it to be included among the other relics of his service placed on the casket draped with the union flag at his funeral.

Other members of the RN minewarfare & diving community in the same list included PO(D) Ross Binns, PO(D) Paul (Ben) Cartwright and CPO(MW) Terry Stewart, all gazetted for the award of the first clasp to their LS&GC medals.
