Gentlemen Who Lunch

21 Jan 2025 - MCDOA members John ‘George’ Turnbull, Bill Kerr and Yours Truly (Rob Hoole) enjoyed a convivial lunchtime session with former WO(MW) Lee ‘Barney Two Ts’ Barnett today at The George Inn in Widley atop Portsdown Hill overlooking Portsmouth.

George, Barney and I first met while serving in the Instructional Mine Warfare Section at HMS VERNON during the 1970s and Bill and I were on SNOME’s staff, embarked in HMS LONDON, during the first Gulf War in 1991.

As you might guess, the lamp was swinging wildly.
