The funeral service will be held at Portchester Crematorium on Friday 10th June at 12.45pm.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made for Alzheimer's Society at www.funeralcare.co.uk/tributes-and-donations

Any queries, please contact Co-operative Funeralcare, 86 Trinity Street, Fareham, PO16 7SJ.  Telephone: 01329 280249."

I took the above photo at a divers' reunion in June 2008.

I had known Ron since the early 1970s when we served together at HMS VERNON.  He was a big man with a big laugh and a big heart.  I'm sure all members of our community will join me in extending his family and close friends our deepest sympathy.

N.B. the wish for donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Society in lieu of flowers; a much more effective use of the money.
