Gentlemen Who Lunch

18 Jun 2025 - MCDOA members Martyn Holloway (LMCDO ‘70), Yours Truly (Rob Hoole - LMCDO ‘76), Dougie MacDonald (LMCDO ‘80), John Staveley (LMCDO ‘80) and Chris Tarmey (LMCDO ‘78) enjoyed a very convivial lunch yesterday at The Blue Bell in Emsworth, Hampshire where we were well looked after by Giles Babb, the proprietor. We were joined by my longstanding next-door neighbour and friend Lez Howard, a former Ministry of Defence civil servant.

After lunch, Martyn, Lez and I walked around Emsworth harbour in the glorious sunshine and spotted an interesting artefact outside Emsworth Sailing Club. Read the inscription.
