Roger Readwin in the Arctic

16 Mar 2024 - MCDOA past-President Roger Readwin has been the UK’s Naval Attaché in Washington, DC since July 2022. On 13 March, he toured the Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS INDIANA (SSN 789) while surfaced near Ice Camp Whale during Operation ICE CAMP. ICE CAMP is a three-week operation that allows the Navy to assess its operational readiness in the Arctic, increase experience in the region, advance understanding of the Arctic environment, and continue to develop relationships with other services, allies, and partner organizations.
